Podiatry Cabinets/Klenz
Klenz Shoe Deodoriser (Article No. 0213)
sanitize footwear
Use a Klenz unit to sanitize a patient's footwear, while they visit your clinic or studio,
as a chargeable service. One 8 minute cycle inside a Klenz has an incredibly strong
antifungial, antibacterial & deodorising effect. You can effortlessly use this time while
working on the patient's feet.
prevent infection
Footwear is a breeding ground for all kind of bacteria and fungus. By klenzing
shoes,
you can reduce the risk of a re-infection, prolong the life of the shoe, and completely
neutralise any odour. Offer this service to your customers, and increase the service and
attractiveness of your clinic or studio.
increase profit
Klenz is a low cost investment with no consumables and a low power consumption. By
charging patients a small amount (p.e. 2 € per pair at 5 patients a day) you would have
covered the cost within 7 weeks. The unit will pay for itself in no time, and will create
an ongoing revenue for years to come. Your customer will receive a treatment from
you, which will distinguish you from the competitors, and therefore creates a valuable
advantage in competition.
nano silver technology
The germ killing properties of silver have been well known for a long time. It is even used
for covering medical units these days. Klenz uses it to split the silver into nano sized
particles (75.000 times smaller than a human hair), and combines it with ozone (itself a
strong antimicrobial agent) to completely eradicate pathagens in and on shoes.
It's that easy:
Put the shoes inside the unit and start. It's that easy. Nano silver and ozone are
evenly spread inside the chamber with an internal ventilator, allowing the klenzing
effect to reach everywhere. Antibacterial and deodorising, without any chemical
components. The shoes are not experiencing any pressure, and there is no maintenance
necessary!

the problem
Many people, even although they are taking care of their body hygine, are having stinking or sweating feet. Foot fungus spreads further and further, and may eventually only be treated with antibiotica. Why? The reason is not dirt, but bacteria and fungus itself. Under warm or humid conditions, these bacteria and fungee may rapidly grow, settle on the skin and nails, and also cause the stinking smell of the feet. Shoes are a central problem, since they offer an ideal climate for bacteria and fungus. Once settled, they are not to be removed from the shoes with common treatments.
the solution
KLENZ uses a different method: In an 8 minute cycle, the bacteria and fungee will be killed by ozone and nano silver. Odour particles are seperated into their smallest particles and therefore being removed effectivley. The shoes will smell fresh and desinfected.
the process
Free silver ions, or radicals, are known to be the active antimicrobial agent. They kill microorganisms instantly by blocking the respiratory enzyme system (energy production), as well as adversely altering microbial DNA, and the cell wall. Not only does the nano size allow Ag+ ions to easily penetrate the cells of microorganisms, but the positive charge increases the surface area, and draws the negatively charged elements toward them, increasing their ability to affect even more molecules. In combination with ozone, the effect of antimicorbial properties will be further enhanced. Ozone, created inside the unit by a UV lamp, has two purposes.
First, ozone itself is an effective, quick, conservative and simple method to kill microorganisms.
Second, ozone has the effect of reacting with nano silver particles to create nano silver ions.
Both, ozone and the highly reactive silver radicals, are blown in and around the shoes within the unit to reach all areas during the 8 minute cycle, thus producing the highly efficient antibacterial and deodorising effect.
the proof
As evidence of it's antibacterial effect, the product's capabilities were tested by independent institutes. Against a culture of Pseudomonas aeruginosa (bacteria) was measured at 99,7% (after 2 cycles), Trichophyton rubrum (fungus) at 98 (after 4 cycles). The building of odour was reduced by 93,6 % (after 1 cycle). Please see the test results below.
