SUNUV has previously released the SUN 4 lamp, but not all manicure masters liked it. Users complained about the lack of a removable bottom, as well as the color of the bottom of the SUN 4: black color absorbs UV light quite strongly, so the curing process had to be performed several times to make the nail material dry.

- 10 seconds is fine for short, light drying at 48 watts of LED power;
- 30 and 60 seconds for curing liquid, light nail materials (48W);
- 99 seconds is the heavy artillery. This timer is great for drying burly coatings or thick, viscous materials (such as acrylics). Polymerization will last longer, with gradually increasing power (from 24 to 48 W), so drying will be qualitatively and practically without burning the nail plate. For this very reason, this timer mode is also called gentle.
Although you do not have to choose a specific timer. The lamp has another timer mode, "infinite", for 120 seconds. It turns on automatically if you don't choose a timer, but just put your hand in the lamp under the LEDs.
There are 36 LEDs built into the lamp so that there are virtually no blind spots: 30 pieces on the top panel and three LEDs each on the two side panels. The LEDs are hybrid UV/LED: they emit both UV and LED light at the same time. This not only improved the quality of curing, but also allowed masters to increase the list of nail coatings that can be dried in the SUNUV lamp.
The continuous operation period of LEDs is 50000 hours, that is almost 6 years. Given the fact that without interruptions, the lamp will not work anyway, then the term of its work is much longer than 6 years. Of course, this is only if the lamp is really original.
But no matter how high quality LEDs are not, there is still a risk of overheating, and subsequently failure. Therefore, for additional protection, the lamp was equipped with the Smart 2.0 system, developed by SUNUV for its lamps. This system is responsible for two additional functions:
Automatic shutdown of the lamp in case of severe overheating of the LEDs;
Memorization of the selected timer. To do this, press any selected timer button, hold it for a couple of seconds and the memorization mode is activated. Now every time you dip your hand into the lamp, the timer of your choice will be activated. It is turned off by double pressing any of the buttons.
By the way, the lamp also has an infrared motion sensor. Now when you immerse your hand in the lamp, the LEDs light up automatically.
